You feel it coming on. But this time you’re not worried. Pick up Naprogesic and be on your way to relief from a number of period symptoms including cramps, lower back pain and headache.
- Up to 12 hours of period pain relief.
- Naprogesic treats the cause of period pain by inhibiting the production of prostaglandins before they can cause pain.
- Available in easy-to-take tablet form
- Take two (2) tablets with food, followed by one (1) tablet every six to eight hours as required. Do not exceed five (5) tablets daily.
- If your periods are irregular (longer or shorter than 28 days); take Naprogesic at the first sign of period pain or bleeding (whichever occurs first).
How does Naprogesic work?
Naprogesic is a Non-Steroidal Anti-Inflammatory Drug (NSAID) which is specially designed to treat the cause of period pain. It does this by stopping the production of prostaglandins before they can cause pain.
If your periods are irregular, take Naprogesic at the first sign of period pain or bleeding (whichever comes first).
Can everyone take Naprogesic?
Naprogesic is suitable for adolescents from the onset of normal puberty. Most individuals who menstruate can take Naprogesic without a problem. However as with all medications, there may be a small number of people who are sensitive to the active ingredient. If you experience any side effects which concern you, stop taking Naprogesic and see your healthcare professional for advice.
Do not use Naprogesic:
- If foil is broken.
- If you have a stomach ulcer, impaired kidney function or heart failure.
- If you are allergic to naproxen, aspirin or other anti-inflammatory medicines. If you get an allergic reaction, stop taking and see your doctor immediately.
- If you have asthma, unless a doctor has told you to.
- With other products containing naproxen, aspirin or other anti-inflammatory medicines; or with medicines that you are taking regularly, unless advised by your doctor or pharmacist.
- For more than a few days at a time unless a doctor has told you to. Do not exceed the recommended dose. Excessive use can be harmful and increase the risk of heart attack, stroke or liver damage.
- If you are trying to become pregnant or during the first 6 months of pregnancy, except on your doctor's advice. Do not use at all during the last 3 months of pregnancy.
- Each tablet contains 25.1 mg of sodium.
